Earlier this week we brought you our edit of Easter getaway essentials. Today we have a treat for anyone who is looking for Easter excitement in the capital, as we bring you a highlight of special Rococo Easter chocolate and egg hunts galore.
For its second year, The Big Egg Hunt has teamed up with Lindt to create a spectacular egg event around the country raising money for Action for Children. The touring collection includes 101 eggs designed by a host of names, including both established and emerging creatives and companies.
From bright and decorative designs, to simple and minimalist masterpieces, the likes of Billy Childish, Sam Taylor Johnson and Alexis Harding have joined forces to try and go beyond the success of the 2011 egg hunt, which raised over £1 million. Having popped up in Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool, the eggs are now sitting proudly in London’s Covent Garden, and are ready to be hunted. The egg hunt will be on display until 7th April where they will be auctioned off to the highest bidders. From children’s fun to a plentiful supply of Lindt goodies, there are a lots of events planned to get people out and about enjoying the outdoors, so don’t miss out.
The Conran Shop Easter egg hunt is also in full swing in the Chelsea store and there are a host of prizes on offer for those who can follow the clues to find the hidden eggs. Every day until Sunday 31st we will display a new question and post it to Facebook and Twitter, drop in store and if you find the egg our staff will present you with your winnings!
You can also find a host of Easter treats including all you need to host your own egg hunt this weekend. Fine chocolatiers Rococo have pulled out the stops hiding ganache choccies inside a melt-in-the-mouth, milk chocolate shell, whilst bags of foil-wrapped eggs are the perfect size for hunting. Join us in store for a fun-filled extravaganza.
